Naoki Nagai was born and raised in Japan. He started learning to play the piano when he was three years old.

He attended UWC of the Atlantic, an international high school in UK and studied Applied Mathematics at Harvard College. He then returned to Tokyo to join McKinsey&Company as a management consultant.

Currently Naoki lives in Hawaii with his wife and children and works on trading algorithms, sustainability issues, and US-Japan relations besides music.
